The Etihad Stadium, home of the Premier League champions and current holders of the Carabao Cup, has today been announced as the host venue for the 2019 Football Blogging Awards (FBAs). The event date has also been confirmed for Thursday 9th May 2019, three days before the final Premier League fixtures of the season.

It will be the first time the Manchester venue will host the ceremony bringing the event back to the north of England after last year’s event at the Alexandra Palace. The stadium is the fourth largest in the Premier League and has hosted Cup Finals, England internationals, a boxing world title fight, along with some of the UK’s largest music tours in history.

The FBA’s is the most significant event in the calendar for all those within the football content creation industry, recognising and celebrating the best football websites, social influencers, bloggers and vloggers around the world. It is an opportunity for content creators to be recognised by fans, followers and their peers and win one of the many prestigious honours that are on offer on the night.

Anthony Cooper, Co-Founder of the Football Blogging Awards said,

“To bring the FBAs to the home of the Premier League champions is truly special and a nod to how far this industry has grown over the years. After seeing the venue and the potential of what we can do on the night, there was no other option for this year’s event and we’re now planning on making the 2019 bigger and better in all ways that ever before.”
